SUSPICIOUS DEATHS MAY SLIDE BY IN NURSING HOMES
Like most states, Michigan doesn't require all nursing home deaths to be reported to a medical examiner; just a few will end up in an autopsy lab. The state requires deaths to be reported only when they are "violent, unexpected or medically unattended deaths."
